Welcome one and all, as many of you know the effects in SC2 are ambiguous as hell and don't fully tell the story (effects) right, some even lie about what effect it has and others don't even tell you anything (Legendary Weapons). I have taken the liberty to deeply uncover the mysteries of each weapon so before I start with the weapons here are effects you will be seeing, be careful as it may get confusing later on down the line so check these often. This guide was made by Buster Wolf, icons by Perseonn Balthasaar.

Note: Throws and Unblockable damage is dependent on your weapons attack, unlike SC3 and SC4.

Note: As with all Soul series, higher attack number means higher damage dealt and higher defense number means higher damage taken. Example: Attacker with 100% damage weapon versus defender with 70% defense will mean that the attacker will generally do 100%*70% = 70% damage against the defender.

Note: You can hover over ability icons for a short explanation.

Written as: 100/(XXX)100
Meaning: Weak defense against single strikes.
Explanation: The first strike of an attack will do what is in the parenthesis any other hits resulting in a combo will do damage based on the outside, single hits do more damage than a comboed hit
Example: Xianghua's AAB with the No Name will do 84%,70%,70% against a Talim holding Wind Guide

Written as: (1XX)100/100
Meaning: Strong single strikes.
Explanation: First hit will do more damage than the rest of a combo

Written as: (SC1XX)100/100
Meaning: Soul Charged single strikes do more damage.
Explanation: This is really only here cause it is said on the weapon for whatever reason…

Regen
Meaning: Life restores over time.
Explanation: I don't think I need to explain…

Sap
Meaning: Life drains over time.
Explanation: I don't think I need to explain…

XX% Shave Damage
Meaning: Penetrates opponents defense.
Explanation: XX% of the damage your attack would do will still go through against a defending opponent, this is useless against enemies wielding a weapon with Deblock on it (read below).

Takes XX% Shave Damage
Meaning: Guard is vulnerable.
Explanation: XX% of your opponents attack will go through if you were blocking their attack, this does collective damage with XX% Shave Damage.

Drain Strike
Meaning: Lose life with any form of strikes.
Explanation: Attacking wildly and missing will have you losing life, since the game bases everything on percentages there is no accurate way to measure this.

Leach Strike
Meaning: Gain life from any form of strikes.
Explanation: Attacking wildly and missing will have you gain life, since the game bases everything on percentages there is no accurate way to measure this.

Drain Hit
Meaning: Dealing damage to an opponent also deals damage to you.
Explanation: Attacks that are blocked will not have you losing life.

Leach Hit
Meaning: Dealing damage to an opponent makes you gain life back.
Explanation: Attacks that are blocked will not have you gaining life.

Longer Reach
Meaning: Your weapon is longer…
Explanation: Weapons are truly longer, unlike SCIII where weapon models are enlarged.

Shorter Reach
Meaning: Your weapon is shorter…
Explanation: Weapons are truly shorter, unlike SCIII where weapon models are shrunken.

Deblock
Meaning: Unable to block attacks. Blocking defense become XX%.
Explanation: You will see that you can still execute the guard animation, but when struck the attack will go through as if you weren't blocking, if you happen to be blocking when hit you will be given a small defense boost to lighten the damage.

CSCd
Meaning: Constant Soul Charge damage.
Explanation: Soul Charge lasts longer and will continue to deal more damage till either you block, get hit, or it runs out. Your attacks are slower in execution unless noted about it.

Soul Charge Attack Speed Normal
Meaning: During Soul Charge, your attack speed becomes normal.
Explanation: This cancels the slow attack speed caused by Constant Soul Charge Damage.

Soul Charge Attack Speed Up
Meaning: During Soul Charge, your attack speed increased.
Explanation: Exactly as it says on the tin.

Soul Charge defense up
Meaning: Soul Charge increases defense.
Explanation: Usually when hit while Soul Charging/having Soul Charge in effect you would be dealt counter damage. With this effect, you will take less damage over the course of Soul Charge's lasting effect (how long it last if you didn't get hit) than you would from a regular hit. The Soul Charge animation must finish or you will be dealt counter damage.

Soul Charge Null Counter
Meaning: Soul Charge nulls forced counter damage
Explanation: Usually when hit while Soul Charging/having Soul Charge in effect you would be dealt counter damage. With this effect, you will take as much damage as you would from a regular hit. Even if you are struck during Soul Charge, you will take minimal damage.

Soul Charge Life Regain
Meaning: Regains life during charge animation
Explanation: The amount of time you go through during the Soul Charge animation will have you gain life for as long as you did it.

Soul Charge Life Drain
Meaning: Loses life during charge animation
Explanation: The amount of time you go through during the Soul Charge animation will have you lose life for as long as you did it, if you do a Soul Charge with low health you can lose the round.

Speed up Soul Charge
Meaning: Speeds up charge animation.
Explanation: Soul Charge animation finishes a lot quicker.

Funny Sound
Meaning: Weapon produces funny sound
Explanation: Each hit produces an irregular sound.

Notes
Meaning: Weapon have a noteworthy stat.
Explanation: Hover over the icon to know the note.
