PS3 Export Save Data
This is a step-by-step guide on how to export your Save Data to a flash drive and send it to the website team. Please take note that the website team can only handle US region save data for the in-game use. If you do not own a US region game, you will need to use the text form instead.
You will need
- Your PS3 Unit
- A USB Flash Drive
Saving Your Save Data to the Flash Drive
- Turn your PS3 on
- Plug your Flash Drive to your PS3's USB Port
- In your PS3's XMB Menu, go to Game
- Go to Saved Data Utility (PS3)
- Look for your game save. In this case, Soul Calibur IV or Soul Calibur V
- Press Triangle
- Pick Copy
- Choose USB Device (USB FLASH DRIVE) as the destination.
- Congrats, you have backed up your Save Data to your USB Flash Drive!
Manage the Save Data Afterwards
- Plug your Flash Drive to your PC
- Open Windows Explorer or your preferred file explorer
- Go to your Flash Drive's folder
- Go to the PS3 Folder
- Go to the SAVEDATA folder
- Now you might see your save data folder(s), e.g. BLUS30160 or BLUS30736 DO NOT RENAME THESE. BLUS30160 is save data for Soul Calibur IV while BLUS30736 is save data for Soul Calibur V.
- Right click on the folder, select "Send to" and then "Compressed (zipped) folder"
- Rename the zipped archive to differentiate it if you would like to backup another save in the future.
- Upload the zipped archive to MediaFire or DropBox (recommended) or other similar file hosting server.
- Provide the link when you submit the character. You will not need to write down the text formula.
