"As the light upon the leaves of trees, as the voice of clear waters, as the stars above the mists of the world, such was her glory and her loveliness; and in her face was a shining light." - J.R.R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion
She was originally born as the daughter of a wealthy English noble. And then her parents went out to sea one day and never came back. Their daughter was left in care of an acolyte. Little Gail waited and waited for her parents to come back, but they never did. For unbeknownst to her, the seas were dangerous with the Dread Pirate about. Many days passed and the little girl missed her parents, drowning in her own tears. Then the acolyte reached out to her mistress to discover the fate of Gail's parents and soon learned of their terrible fate. So, without delay, the acolyte brought little Gail to her mistress, the High Priestess Morgana of the Order of Arcturus. There, Gail was brought up and raised.
She was happy in these days, and she practiced skills of using some magic as well as some fighting. And she met with friends like Lance, Isaac, and Vakama. Isaac was an important figure in her life, for she saw in him the same loneliness and sorrow that she had when she lost her parents. She wanted to spend much time with her friends, as well as become a knight of the Order of Arcturus, though the Priestess and the Lord Marshal Mathias wished against it. But their wishes fell short, for Gail was determined. She snuck out every now and then, and those she went with knew they had to ensure that she survived.
Her most recent escapade was again with her three best friends. This time, she was taken into a more whirlwind of an adventure than ever before. She saw Lord Richard, a prominent knight of the Order, be captured before her own eyes, and her dearest friend Isaac suffer great sadness from the loss of his master Hector, and then Richard himself, and their best friend Vakama. Gail was saddened by her inability to help Isaac, and over the three years that passed, she watched Isaac's training, and practiced the way of the sword further in secret, as well as other magic skills. When the time came that Isaac would run away from home on the trail of Soul Edge, she would follow him with Lance. She would follow him through fire and water if needed be, because she was beginning to understand the true nature of her feelings for her dearest friend…
